Catching up
Jan. 25th, 2016 09:35 amWell, that took longer than I expected.
I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. I'm the one who scheduled a firing for less than a month after Christmas. And then spent the week between Christmas and New Years resting up, reading, relaxing. Well, slacking, really, but sometimes it's needful.
But that means since January 1, I've been spending long hours in the studio, on the computer (setting up my 2016 ledger and applying for shows), in meetings (Clay Fest and Ceramic Showcase are both gearing up, and I'm on the steering committee for both). Everywhere, in fact, but writing entries here.
Today, I'm firing a glaze kiln, which means a minimum of twelve hours here in the studio. There's a limit to how much cleaning, reading, sudoku and cryptoquote-solving a guy can do. So I'm taking a chance to catch up a little.
