I'm a full-time functional potter and some-time sculptor living in Eugene, Oregon.

Some years back, I heard Scottish folksinger Jean Redpath preface a description of a friend with, Now, Aberdeenians are… a wee bit off-center. I vowed to steal the description at my earliest opportunity, and since 1993 I've been making and selling pottery as Off Center Ceramics.

As I repeatedly tell my customers: Off Center refers to the potter, not the pottery.
