Went for a walk yesterday while the kiln was firing, looking for leaves. Denise has got an experiment going, trying to preserve the color and flexibility of fall leaves using a glycerin solution, and what we have around our place is mostly red oak. The neighborhood around Club Mud is much more diverse, with elm, walnut, sweet gum and maple, including these lovely specimens.
