It has been twenty years since I registered Off Center Ceramics with the Corporation Division of the Oregon Secretary of State's office. I needed an account in the business name at my credit union so I could cash checks made out to Off Center Ceramics instead of me, personally. I'd been getting by with endorsing them from the business to me, but they said they really couldn't do that anymore. Asked about a business account, and was told I'd need to register the business with the Secretary of State. Then the nice account representative went online with me to register right then and there.
I really like my credit union.
