...that the fancy new driver's license I got in 2017, with the sparkles and holograms and stuff, was a Real ID (TM). Apparently not, it needs to have a star on it?

So this afternoon I get to go over to the DMV at Valley River Center with my birth certificate, Social Security Card, driver's license and utility bills, to prove who I am, where I was born and where I live.

Good thing I listened to that podcast commercial.

I am gonna have to do that soon - mine expires this upcoming October or so. Funtimes!

We're planning a couple of trips that include air travel. The March one would be fine with the old ID; the May one, not so much.

Yeah, I've been resisting a Real ID forever. I am eventually probably going to have to cave, but I have a newly renewed passport so... maybe I can keep hanging on.
