Despite the busy studio commitment these past two weeks, I've still managed to keep up with my daily drawings. I find 15 minutes right after breakfast is just enough time for a drawing, with color. Here are weeks three and four.
Gold-crowned kinglet! I've seen them on the Oregon coast, some time back. We used to have Ruby-crowned in the backyard at our old place; one of the few nice aspects of that hole was the birds we saw in our overgrown back yard.
Hoopoes are in Spain! Resident in the southern parts, but breed as far north as Barcelona.
As for the cardinals, I paint them from memory on pottery, but in this case, I used a reference photo for the details.
