It was f(r)oggy out yesterday!

Definitely fall weather: foggy all the way down Delta Highway to downtown, then overcast most of the morning. Supposed to have sun by noon, but Denise came down around lunch time with a new batch of greeting cards, it was still cold and grey. Fortunately, she was prepared: wool hat, hoodie and flannel, long johns. I was glad I brought my fall coat, because a pair of fingerless gloves and scarf have permanent residence in the pockets.

Lots of students, again, buying cards as frameable art and taking pottery business cards against the day they move out of the dorms. Saw a few more parent-and-kid groups, but nowhere near as many as last week.

Talked to a couple of out-of-towners, from Chicago, Michigan, Texas. One of them in town for a wedding, one for the previous night's football game. Sold small, carry-on friendly pieces, and have the promise of more to come by mail order.

Things got busy when the sun came out, and we had several good sales. Denise wound up selling 13 watercolor cards, and a lot of people asked me if I'd be at Clay Fest next weekend. Guess our publicity is doing its job.

With Clay Fest next weekend, I went ahead and re-priced everything using their barcode stickers, but ran out and had to order fifty more Thursday. I have six blank ones left, so saved all the ones off of sold items to recycle on the restock.

All-in-all, it was a good last outdoor Market for us, just under $750 in sales. Now it's making and glazing and firing, with the occasional pause for major fall art shows.
