Finally got warmer weather and rain starting Tuesday, and the ice is mostly gone, except a few places in the bike lane where businesses scraped their sidewalks into the street. We were lucky not to lose power beyond the occasional flicker, though that was enough to error out my computer-controlled kiln during a bisque fire. Fortunately, I caught it before it had lost too much heat and was able to finish the firing.
What we did lose was cable and internet. Weird, because they're from two different providers. Comcast was somehow able to provide the program info at the bottom of the screen, but no images. Meanwhile, our CenturyLink landline was fine, but the DSL was borked. I had a good connection on my cell, theoretically unlimited data, and was able to use it as a hotspot for my tablet when necessary, but couldn't do much beyond triaging my email. Both finally came back yesterday evening.
Spent a lot of my time in the studio, have almost gotten to the end of my throwing list, did a lot of reading in the evening with no internet to distract me. So I guess it coulda been worse.
