Once Again

offcntrWe're back at Saturday Market today, after two road shows, a marathon glazing and firing session, and a week catching up on office work, packing, shipping and delivering orders (including a day trip to Olympia, Washington and back). Also catching up on sleep, reading, finally cooking down and canning the six quarts of apple butter that's been waiting in the fridge.
So why am I here? Why not take a well-earned break, sleep in, stay home until I need to go do my radio show this afternoon?

The best answer I can come up with is, it's what I do. I'm a potter. I make and sell pottery. I've been out of the studio for a couple of week, and my fingers are already itching for clay. I've been away from the Market for a few weeks, too, and I need to be back. I can make excuses, claim it's for the exposure, maintaining a consistent presence, a reliable place and time for customers to find me, but I'm afraid the truth is far simpler.
I'm an addict.
