Make some noise

I think I've mentioned before, I like to ask littles looking at my banks with their parents, What do you think will happen if you put your finger in the elephant's trunk? Then make a trumpeting sound with my lips. Sometimes they'll then want to know what noise the cat, or frog, or dinosaur would make. It's cheap entertainment.

This last weekend, in Roseburg, a family with three small kids each had to try before moving on, and an older woman stepped in and started picking up the banks. Which one makes the noise? she asks.

She felt a little foolish when I demonstrated that I do.
