The great outdoors
Aug. 20th, 2021 11:10 amI have another outdoor show, this weekend, fortunately close enough to commute. Silverton Arts Festival takes place in a nice little park, heavily set by fir trees, though with wildly uneven ground. I expect my big bag of shims will get a work-out.
The weather is cooperating: our heat bubble has burst, and we're back to more normal late summer-early fall weather: cloudy in the morning, sunny by mid-day, highs in the low to mid-70s. Thought we were gonna be dealing with smoke last night--had to run around the house, turning off fans and closing windows--but it seems to have cleared by this morning.
Set-up is this afternoon, for a two-day fair, so I'm late posting this, but I've been busy--sorting the van, taking the van into the shop (again), starting production for my next firing, updating my website. Lucky to remember this at all.
