So if I come into the studio early, open the side door and turn on a fan, the windowless, shaded back room where I prefer to glaze stays reasonably comfortable all day. A little less so today--I got a late start, so it was already over 70° when I arrived--but still, manageable.
Did serving bowls yesterday to warm up, started on special orders today. By weird coincidence, the two pasta bowls, for two different customers, both featured species--Gambel's Quail, Saguaro, and Javelinas--from the desert southwest. Which is what the car felt like when I got in to drive home this afternoon.

Date: 2020-07-29 06:00 pm (UTC)When you have TIME. Not now. Not for a long time. Very okay.
And, I will ask Mason if he has a favorite in the meantime. I think you could do very cool things. I have seen them very rarely in art. I will take a photo of the notebook of marine life that I bought Mason that actually depicts a siphonofore to help give you ideas. But, not for now. For much, much later.
