I've tried making a lot of different forms to sell over the years. With time, I've settled on the things you'd find in my booth: table ware, cooking and baking pots, some storage, like cookie jars and butter dishes. Not coincidentally, things I use myself on a regular basis.

Which is why I always struggled with vases. I tried several different versions over the years, but between allergies and flower-eating cats, I don't bring flowers in the house much and therefore didn't really refine my vase forms by use. I did eventually come up with a shape I like, and like to make, but they never sold well, and in a crowded booth, I didn't have shelf space to show them off.

They're still on my website, though, so when a client from years back (who lost most of my pottery in a divorce) went looking to rebuild her collection, she ordered three matching vases, one for her and two for friends.

I made four, of course, to be sure I had three that matched. Wound up with this orphan, which I'd normally not take out to the show. But since my booth is virtual right now, a list of in-stock items on my website, I figured I'd include it on the list. And show it off here.

\o/ I am very excited! And yet ironically amused because I will not have actually seen the vase in person. ;-) Hopefully the markets will re-open someday!
