Nose to the rhinestone
Jan. 3rd, 2015 09:27 amBeen making excuses for a week: needed some time to rest, relax, unwind. Had to get presents for the family wrapped, packed, shipped to Wisconsin. Deserved time off to read, cook, go to church, watch the Ducks game.
And suddenly, it's January, and I promised a whole bunch of special orders would get done in, you guessed it, January. So I'm back in the studio scraping the rust off my throwing skills with a bunch of covered casseroles. Sometime in the next couple of weeks, I need to make six goat tall mugs, a weasel dinner plate, a medium cookie jar and small covered casserole with horses, a crow dinner plate, a large pitcher with honeybees, a vintage KLCC mug, a purple octopus mug eight fishing bear soup bowls, a horses dinner plate, a lid for a very old garlic baker, and an experimental divided dinner plate. Oh, and sculpt and cast a new city of Eugene seal for their 5-year mugs.
Plus replace whatever sold a holiday sales, which means when it warms up a little, Denise and I will be out in the pottery shed taking end-of-year inventory. Guess it's time to emulate the successful burlesque artist, and keep my nose to the rhinestone.
