I intentionally stocked my booth with extra work in patterns I knew previously sold well in Anacortes, particularly sea life: crab, octopus, sea otter. I also made some extra crow/raven pots, as they have a lot of resonance here in the Northwest. This evening, for fun, I went through the list to see how many of each pattern we'd sold. None of them sold out, though some came much closer than others.

The results: (drum roll, please)

Octopus: 18 items sold
Crab: 16
Raven: 7
Wolf: 3 (to the same buyer)
Sea otter: 2

I was surprised how few sea otters sold; one pie plate, one serving bowl. The tall mug out on the shelf got picked up and admired dozens of times, but never quite made it into someone's bag.

It would be interesting to see how these compare to my regular patterns, but I don't have a clean inventory of them--some of the bunny and elephant pots were sold in previous weeks' Saturday Markets, and checked off the list. I know bunnies sold strong, ditto goats and foxes. Horses, hummingbirds and dragonflies also did well. I have the sense that, although everyone admired the baby elephant pattern, not all that many people bought them.
