I really should have known better than to take two weeks off between Clay Fest and Clayfolk, but I had a kiln-load already made and fired before we left, so I figured two more loads in two weeks would be manageable. (It usually takes about three bisque kiln loads to fill the 50 cubic foot glaze kiln.)
I didn't take into account autumn. Most of the first week was raining, the second, partly cloudy with anemic fall sunshine. The worst possible weather for drying pots. With the help of a space heater and ceiling fan, I managed, and by the time I was finishing these last four dozen soup bowls, the weather had improved enough to help out.
