Clay Fest day 3: Return of the Teddy
Oct. 12th, 2015 08:16 amFun interaction this afternoon: A little girl with a stuffed bunny is happy to introduce it to my teddy bear booth mates. She then becomes completely enamored with a horses pattern pie plate, and tries to sell her reluctant grandma on buying it. I try to show her the horses toddler bowl, but she's insistent. It's the Appaloosa mare, apparently. She and her mother ride a lot, and one of their horses looks like that. Grandma notices the soup bowl with an Appy, and they compromise.

Sunday's a little slower after my work shift, though still busy. Denise takes her laptop off to a quiet spot next door by the home show to edit audio files for her LCC student, and I get to wander a little, take in demos and catch a few artist photos for next year's ads. The show closes at 5 pm, and as we're packing pots and snatching a slice of pizza from the stack that the show chair brings, the treasurer announces that sales for the weekend are $99,378, a new record.
ETA: Treasurer updates Monday to say a couple of lines in the ledger file weren't adding in to total properly. We're actually over $100K. woot!
