In the beginning

offcntrClay Fest set-up began at noon Thursday. I went down right after lunch to get started. The display is a little more complicated than Saturday Market; the booth is bigger, needs lights, I lay in a carpet, grid panels, lots of extra stock. Forgot my table coverings at home, but realized after only three blocks, so was able to go back for them without too much time lost.
Had the basic structure up by about 2:30, so went ahead and put out pots. Everything was set except shelf signage around 4:30, so I have an easy day today. Final details this morning, potluck at noon (pie is in the oven) and a sales training at 1. I'm a little intimidated by the latter--haven't used the barcode scanners before. Supposed to be faster, and it certainly is on the accounting side. We'll have to see what it means at checkout.
