It was all set. I'd packed the plate. Even researched the cost of shipping to Lithuania. Then I got an email from the customer saying:Would you, please, send me your bank account details, as I do not use PayPal?
And my heart sank. I've gotten so many scam orders over the years, all attempts to get me excited about an international order that's just trying to get my banking info. I sent back an email--
Nope, sorry, I don't share bank account details. If you're serious about this, you can go to PayPal's website and access my account, [redacted]. Otherwise, I can't help you.
--and prepared to unpack the platypus plate and put it back in the shed.
Next morning, I heard back.
Hello again,
I created an account and made a payment to you. Please find the attached receipt.
Thank you,
And by golly, there was the payment! I logged on to Shippo and generated the shipping label, complete with Customs Declaration, and sent it on its way.
