The two weeks since Clayfolk have been a studio marathon. I think I threw 120 lbs. of clay the first Monday alone; Tuesday was 143. I needed pretty much everything, but especially plates. Dinner, dessert, pie, they all sold. I even sold a couple of platters, and took orders for two more. I also blew through my teapots, cream pitchers, large pitchers. Made some cookie jars, and a special order canister set as well--all the straight-sided jars in the photo.

Today I finished throwing with thirty soup bowls and a dozen toddlers. If I time it right, I'll have them trimmed by lunch time tomorrow.

Just in time to go set up my Holiday Market booth.

I am hearing the echo of people who say things like "you should be an independent artist! You'll have all the free time you want, to do stuff since you won't be punching a time clock!"

(Open a fabric store if you love quilting! Yeah, and never have time to quilt ever again.)
