Realized I had a fox, raven and coyote side-by-side on my shelf this Saturday. Surely, this will end well.

Day started out overcast and more than a little chilly. Wore my t-shirt, flannel and spring jacket, and was seriously wishing for my heavy denim barn coat, if for no other reason that I still had a woolen scarf in the pocket. I did have a pair of fingerless gloves, which didn't hurt.

I never know what to expect on holiday weekends, whether more people are coming in to town or going out. This was definitely an out weekend, though I gave away business cards to people from New York, Louisiana and Idaho. We'll see if any follow up.

Slow start, due to the cold, I think, though we made our first sale around 10:25 am. Woman asked if I had a "whimsical" teapot. Neither the elephant nor koala were whimsical enough ("but it's KOALA-ty!"), but the octopus, with its tentacle wrapped all around the spout, delighted her. She asked if I had small cups to go with it, which I did not. Danny, two booths down, did though, and she picked out a red, orange and gold cup that matched the octopus' colors beautifully.

Sun came out around lunchtime, so we ate our sack lunch salads, rather than paying for something hot. I did spring for an enormous peanut-butter cup brownie at Farmer's Market that we nibbled at all afternoon, and polished off with a scoop of ice cream after supper.

Worst t-shirt of the day: I can't hear you over the sound of my freedom. In red, white and blue, of course.

Best bumper sticker:
god's original plan was to hang out in a garden with naked vegetarians.
