It's the end of the year as we know it
Dec. 31st, 2022 05:12 pmAnd I feel fine!
Had some unexpected sunshine and dry weather this morning, so I pulled canopies out of van and shed and reapplied roof coverings--they'd both been used in indoor shows where the fire marshall doesn't permit anything getting between the sprinkler system and and a conflagration. Put grid panels and rug and hand-truck adapters in the shed, lights and drapes box as well. Slid 8-foot conduits under the shed, where they'll be safe out of the rain until next year.
And best of all, with Denise's help, went through all of the boxes and took a physical end-of-year inventory. So now I know what I need to make more of for the new season, besides special orders, and I can calculate cost basis of inventory for taxes in a couple of months. I even recorded end-of-year mileage on the van and car, and set up my Excel ledger for 2023.
Tonight, we celebrate! Crackers and cheese and leftover ham, the last of the Christmas cookies and potica, maybe even open a bottle of Martinelli's. Videos on the bed, with cats.
Happy New Year!
