Since I knew I had a very short turnaround on my December firing, I did something unusual for me--I threw eighty-plus mugs and tumblers at Club Mud while firing my November kiln. Which means I had to spend my normal rest-day, while the kiln cooled, down at the studio making and attaching handles. But it gave me a head-start on filling the kiln again in less than a month.

I didn't start glazing until after the Thanksgiving weekend, though I did slip out from Holiday Market on Sunday afternoon to set up the glazing station in the back room. Not too many pictures got taken--when I'm even too busy for Instagram, you know I'm busy--but here's a few.



I almost didn't take this commission--I was tired and cranky and didn't want to do something as gimmicky as a cat listening to commercial radio (hey, after 25 years on KLCC, I'm allowed to be a public radio snob). But they did turn out kinda cute.

And the hummingbird salt-and-pepper shakers were a success as well.

Oh, I like the radio cats!

After my mom broke the bunny pie plate at Thanksgiving, I promptly broke the casserole dish when I got home (glass jar fell on it in the fridge, sheesh). So I'll need to catch up with you and replace that sometime when I'm down south.

I hate when that happens!

I've got hooks hanging over the stove for frying pans and whatnot, and I knocked a pan lid off (with my head) recently, took out a favorite cereal bowl.

Oh well, room for a new one, I guess.
