Really, a weasel

Glazing special order plates, today. Six salmon-fishing bears, one wild horses pattern, a crow, bunnies, fox, puffin, bear cub in tree, owl, and weasel.Really, a weasel. Apparently, it's his grandson's favorite animal.
Funny thing about painting weasels. I usually start my drawing at the head and work toward the tail. Didn't work this time. For some reason, I have to start at the shoulder, draw the curve of the back and rump, then get the juncture of knee, elbow and belly right. Afterwards, the tail is easy, the neck and head get drawn last. Go figure.
Don't know that I'll make this a regular pattern, though I did do a few just for the practice. But at least now I know how to draw them. Probably come in handy the (inevitable) day someone wants me to draw their ferret.
