I loaded every last bit of bisque into a kiln Friday night, the third of three loads for my April 5 firing. I don't have to start glazing for another week. I'll be tackling my taxes this next week, but for now, I have some time off.
I'm not
used to having time off.
So I'm reading, a lot. Averaging a novel every day or two. Doing too many online word puzzles. (
64ordle is really a trip.) Cooking, and filling fridge with leftovers. Which would be great if next week is when I was down in the studio glazing, and didn't have time to make supper. But I'm home.
I even worked a little on my pandemic quilt project. The 36 12x12" squares are now 6 72x12" strips, only needing to be ironed out flat before the top can be sewn together.
But I can't seem to focus on any one thing for too long. We've got video to watch--we're halfway through
She Hulk, and two episodes into
Picard (and frankly? Not feeling it). But instead I go down YouTube rabbit holes watching
Game Changer clips. I took the trike out on a 10-mile errand yesterday, just because it was sunny.
Eh, I've got the fidgets. This is why I'll probably never retire.
