Crepuscular

Driving in at 5 this morning for a firing. When I did this drive, back in June, it was already light out. Today it's still dark, with only a thin sliver of moon and one bright planet to accompany me on my drive. Radio died a couple of years ago. For long drives, we plug in a Bluetooth speaker and binge podcasts, but this morning, I'm alone with my thoughts.
With so little traffic, the stoplights all turn green as I come up on them. Does anyone else thank stoplights for turning/staying green when you're in a hurry? Or is it just me? I mean, it's only polite.
Dawn is just brightening the horizon when I arrive. I open the doors and set up a fan to pull in cool air while I can. It's gonna be a hot one, even without the kiln's help.
