offcntr: (be right back)
And the pace is break-neck!

I'd scheduled a little extra time this cycle, thought I'd stretch out the glazing a bit, take a day off. Then I realized that my EyeNoseThroat doctor's appointment (and its accompanying COVID test and cloistering) were right on my load-glaze-firing days. (Well the appointment was on cooling day, which would have been fine, if I had been able to go into the studio the three previous days.

So, reschedule. I could have just managed to load the following week, if I wanted to unload directly into the van and drive down to Roseburg to set up the fair the next day. So I moved back a week, instead.

There goes my day off. I started glazing on Sunday, glazed all day Memorial Day, even half a day on our wedding anniversary Wednesday (31 years!). I still have stew mugs, tall mugs and soups to go, along with a couple of small custom orders, but I should be able to finish that by Sunday, on track to load Monday. But damn, am I tired. (It doesn't help that allergies are kicking my butt, sore throat and a voice that comes in and out.)

But things are getting done, and I'm pretty happy with the results. I've glazed pie plates:

Baking dishes:

Covered casseroles:

Batter bowls:

Colanders:

And some really big platters:

I also had some fun special orders, including another oval platter, and a nice, chipper little mug.
