Oct. 20th, 2021 10:14 pmI haven't missed a day so far on my October drawing challenge, I'm happy to say. Adding it to my morning routine has helped considerably; it's now the thing I do between breakfast/making today's To Do list and going out into the studio to start doing. (The reason I don't doing it during breakfast is that I usually have a cat on the table, waiting impatiently for the last three drops of cereal milk. Once I finish and put the bowl on the floor, he jumps down. See October 5...)
I've been rather less good about posting them, either here or on Instagram. I've been putting in 8-10 hour days in the studio, then catching up on email/office work after supper. By the time I've done that, I'm zonked, and either read my webcomics or go straight to bed.
So today will be a veritable blast of images, October 2 through 17 (October 1 is here). About half are from life, or from photos taken on the fly on my phone. More are done pictures I've seen online, on Tumblr, Twitter or Instagram. I still find animals the most interesting and inspiring things to draw, and hey, it's good practice for work, right?
