Things to do on the first day of the new year, pottery edition:

1. Close out my 2020 ledger, making sure to record my Club Mud payment, so I have twelve on this year's expenses. Start a new ledger for 2021. This is fairly easy, as I have a blank one sitting on my hard drive. Just need to adjust the recurring expenses--internet, cell, wifi hotspot--and make sure to change the year from 2020 (makes a garlic-and-cross sign) to 2021.

2. Print out an End-of-Year inventory tally. Probably do the count itself this weekend; I know the running inventory we've tried to keep up this year is badly flawed by now.

3. Record end-of-year mileage on both the car--which gets used for out-of-town meetings and gallery trips, as it gets better mileage--and the van. The van only goes to Saturday Markets and out-of-town art fairs. This year's total mileage? 307 miles. I filled the gas tank only once, I think in June?

Oh, Happy New Year!
