My first year at Ceramic Showcase, my neighbor in the Group Booth made miniature pots, finger-tip sized replicas of classic forms: vases, pitchers, urns. I was tremendously jealous: As I hauled in heavy boxed, she brought in her entire stock in two briefcases, nestled in egg-crate foam. Said she threw them on a miniature wheel, using toothpicks, fired in a dental kiln, and could actually restock overnight in her hotel room if a show was going particularly well.
I've lost track of MaryAnn over the years, but was reminded of her when I read this article.
