Birthday bear
May. 1st, 2019 11:01 amSince Denise's birthday coincided with Ceramic Showcase, yet again, we extended the celebration. I baked the cake a weekend early--mayonnaise-based chocolate, really moist--and got presents before, during and after the show (tickets to Endgame, last night). Here are a couple of things we got at Showcase.
This Kendall Jones wildcat mask that Denise bought herself.
And this Carrie Kitzke catosaurus that I purchased. Carrie was new at Showcase last year, and only brought a few of these, thinking, Who'd want something this weird?
Turns out, everybody. She sold them all in about three hours, then took requests for more all weekend. This one features a new color, the lovely lavender glaze.
Oh look; she's made a friend.
