offcntr: (rainyday)
One day before we leave for Clayfolk. So far the week has run like clockwork. On two different clocks. Set to different time zones.

We unloaded the kiln last Wednesday.  Ignored everything else while concentrating on getting the house ready for the insulators, who started on the attic and crawl space Friday. Saturday and Sunday, more house organization, removing the art and moving all the furniture away from the exterior walls. Monday, the guys were back, two crews, above and below again, while Denise and I sorted, priced and boxed pots indoors at Club Mud, looking warily at the intermittent sunshowers.

Yesterday, I started the day repairing a crack in the drywall under the kitchen counter, while the crew started blowing pink stuff into the walls. Then we took advantage of the unexpected sunshine to sort, inventory, and load the van, dashed off to campus for pre-show haircuts, and back again to load up the rest of the display hardware on the roof rack.

Today I'm vacuuming up dust-direwolves (hey, no way are those bunnies) and cobwebs, moving furniture back in the front of the house, while Denise meets her Thursday client a day early, and a short crew finishes the back wall in the rain. They'll probably finish this afternoon, so I can rearrange the bedroom and TV room as well. And try to clear out the stuff we stuffed in the studio (a more recent remodel, already insulated, thank God),  because I'll have to start making pots as soon as we get back.

Tonight we pack, bake road show cookies, print out instructions for the cat-sitter.

Tomorrow, we're away to Medford, for Clayfolk.
